July 9th - Shoal Harbour

It was 56' when I got up around 6:30am.  We left at 9:00am & arrived at Echo Bay at .  We went through a lot of dense fog & the Captain had our fog horn on for awhile.

We were going to go to Pierre's Echo Bay but couldn't get in until tomorrow (we already have reservations) unless we stayed on the transient dock across from the marina & we didn't want to do that.  We ended up anchoring with Morris's in Shoal Harbour, rafted again.  The girls went to the Echo Bay store & bought a few things.  Carolyn wanted to see how the fishing was here.  Everybody we talked to said it was not good, so they are going to leave tomorrow & head south.  It started pouring again when we were coming back from the store & rained all night.

Tonight we had dinner on Morris's boat - salad & leftovers as they wanted to use things up.  We had spaghetti with meat sauce & pork & beans.  The guys & gals had leftover chocolate cake.  When we were at Echo, Tova gave us some Lindt dark chocolate with orange in it.  That's what I & the girls had  & so did Rod.

Tomorrow morning they are coming to our boat for corned beef hash, eggs & English muffins.  I buy the hash at Market House Meats in Seattle where I get my corned beef.  They use leftover corned beef to make it & add peppers, onions & potatoes.  Then we'll say goodbye.  We've had a great time with them!
