We both showered after we got here & then I went over to play Mexican Train with Dee & Carolyn. Of course, we had to have a little something to drink while we were playing 😻. Eventually Rod came over to talk to Jerry & Tom. We had a crab & shrimp appetizer with aioli sauce which was very good - of course, it was all fresh from the sea!
We had dinner around 6:30: garlic bread & salad which we provided and a wonderful pasta with Meyer lemon oil prawns which Carolyn made. We definitely are not going hungry with this group! It rained all day once we got close to Ocean Falls & was very windy. It was a good thing that we came across in the morning or we would have had a very bumpy ride.
We didn't explore the town as it was so wet & windy but hopefully will tomorrow. This is pretty much a "ghost town." It originally was a Crown Zellerbach mill which was left in 1973. The province tried to run it until 1980. There is a museum but not much else. The main things here are a dam & a big fish hatchery. Many of the original homes have been abandoned.
