July 8th - Allison Harbour

It was 59' at 7am.  We left at 8:50 to head south & cross Cape Caution.  It wasn't too bad of a crossing - Shadow didn't get sick & I wore my wrist bands with pulse points which I haven't been doing.  We got to Allison at 3:15 & it wasn't raining.  Only one other boat when we got in but another came later this evening. 

 

The girls played Mexican Train again during the happy hour - we play up in the pilot house.  I still keep loosing (maybe it's because they play house rules & we just do 1 game at a time to determine the winner & then keep track). 😭😭😭

The boys went over to join Rod on our boat for their cocktails.  Shadow has been providing much entertainment for everyone & even lets Dee pet him.  He's definitely a great boat cat as long as you don't let him escape outside.  I did bring a harness & leash but still haven't tried putting it in him.  When he was a kitten he didn't like it at all.  After we leave Morris's & Ihrigs I'll give it a try.  We have a short leash which we cut that he can drag around to get used to it.  

We provided steaks which Rod barbecued on Morris's boat since it was raining & we provided quinoa & brown rice again.  Dee did a corn & pepper side & Carolyn made a chocolate cake with whipping cream.  Definitely not going hungry which, unfortunately, is not helping our weigh in each morning.  We did happy hour & dinner on Morris's boat tonight.

It started pouring again around dinner time & thundered & lightening repeatedly.
