July 18th - Sullivan Bay Marina

Last night it started to thunder (very loud!) & lightening around 8pm & was pouring by 8:15.  It stopped about an hour later.  Right before that, the Dolphins came into the bay again.

We left Kwatsi at 10:30 & it was in the mid 60's.  About noon at the mouth of Simoom Sound, we saw 2 humpbacks playing in the ocean - big tail slaps, flying out of the water & twisting.  Rod took pictures but we'll have to see if any of them turned out.  We slowed the boat & watched until they stopped.  It was awesome!!!

We got to Sullivan Bay at 1:30, with mostly blue skies & it got up to 74'.  There are 5 other SYC boats here.  We decided we would spend 3 nights here - you get 1 free night if you do that.  It's a good place to walk the docks & if the weather stays good maybe I'll even be able to kayak.

Tonight we barbecued a flank steak that I marinated & froze before we left home.  We had it with our garlic brown rice & quinoa & Copper Moon Cabernet which we buy in a box - it's very good!
