It was 61' when I got up a little before 7am. The Captain was up at 5:30am, so back to his "normal". No rain all night & it was a high fog when we got up. We left Viner Sound at 10:40, headed for Kwatsi Bay. We passed 7 canoes as we were leaving with quite a few people in each - all paddling.
We arrived at Kwatsi at 12:10. Rod & I both bought Kwatsi Bay jackets at the little store & I got some yellow pepper jelly made by a woman in Canada who makes great jellies & jams. There is a happy hour at 5pm & we're taking meatballs with barbecue sauce. There are 12 boats here & the docks are full.
We had a great happy hour - lots of food & interesting people to talk to. There is another SYC boat here - Cindy McDonald, who we've met before several times, at the SYC Cortez outstation. She's had 3 Grand Banks before & now has a 26' Cutwater. It was fun catching up with her. She lives in California now.
