Aug. 29th - Home

I got up at 6:30 & it was 54' outside.  This morning we go home and a friend of Heather's is coming up after work to have dinner with us.  Her name is Jen Parrish & we've known her a long time.

We got back to Shelter Bay at 12:40.  We brought some food up from the boat & we'll sleep in the house tonight but Heather & the kids are staying on the boat - the kids like that.

We went to dinner about 6:30 to the Pub & then we brought the kids home.  Heather & Jen are going to hang out until 9pm & then Jen will drive back home.  This will be my last post.

Tomorrow we take Heather & the girls down to Seattle - they have a 5:30 flight out.

Aug. 28th - SYC Henry Island

I got up at 7am & it was 58'.

Today we went to Roche Harbor & took a taxi to the San Juan Winery to do a Rotary Club event that Bob Brinkow told us about.  They had a lot of cars in the field that we're show cars that we looked at & Bob had one there too.  They also have a camel (that used to belong to a friend of ours in Shelter Bay) & a llama in the field across from the winery.  The camel is called Moanie (not sure about that spelling).
The Rotary was serving lunch - you could have beef hot dogs, pastrami or pulled pork in the hot dog buns with a variety of other things in it.  They also has Cole slaw, potato salad & 2 kinds of chips.  Then you could have your beverage of choice - wine or water.  It was a fun outing & the girls loved seeing the camel & the llama.  While we were waiting for the taxi to pick us up at 2pm (we arranged that when he dropped us off), it started to rain & was pouring when we went back to the boat in our dinghy.  So that cancelled our activities that we were going to do at Roche before we left.

When we got back we played Mexican Train & Carcassone.  Dinner was a combination of crab cocktails & smoked salmon, with martinis with blue cheese olives.  Then Heather & I finished the rest of the boxed wine - both red & white as there wasn't much left.

Tomorrow morning we will head home.

Aug. 27th - SYC Henry Island

I got up at 7am & it was 61'.  Later today we are going over to Roche Harbor to do a variety of things.  One of them is to go look at a Sonship that one of our friends has there to see what they look like.  The Captain thinks he needs a different boat & he's interested in a 58' which is what our friend Bob has.  They are much easier to get on & off of, so we'll see what the Admiral (me) thinks!

We went to Roche & did see the Sonship that our friend, Bob Brunkow, owns.  We both really liked it but each boat is different (& his is not for sale), so we'll see what ones that are for sale look like.  Rod also has not totally given up on a Fleming so who knows.  Then we went to lunch at the restaurant & Bob came with us.

We also looked for birthday presents for the girls - I found 2 things for Sienna.  But Talia has a very hard time making decisions about gifts for her, so nothing so far.  We got back around 3pm & the wind had really picked up.  I got totally wet from the spray.  Had to dry out my pants, jacket & life jacket in the sun.

We had flank steak, Quinoa & salad for dinner.  Rod barbecued the steak on the boat & we ate inside the salon.  We (not Rod) also went up & did s'mores & then Heather & the girls stayed after I went back to the boat.

Aug. 26th - SYC Henry Island Outstation

When I got up at 7am it was 62'.  Heather, Rod & I had breakfast at the end of the dock.  The kids were still asleep when we went but Mom got them a big cinnamon roll to share.  They stayed up really late last night - Heather went to shut them down at 11:30pm!!!  Rod went to bed right before that & said they were having way too much fun😻.

We left Genoa Bay at 8:45 & arrived at Customs around 11:30 (no issues there) & then we were at Henry Island by noon.  While we were underway Heather, Talia, then eventually Sienna played Carcasonne in the salon as it was still pretty cool on the flybridge.  We arrived at Henry Island at noon. There were a lot of boats who we've been seeing often this summer who were also there.

We did some walking around here today.  The girls wanted me to play "witch" with them so I did for awhile but it was very hot - in the 80's - so we didn't play for long...definitely not my favorite game that they make me play.

Tonight we had Spagetti & meatballs for dinner with garlic bread.  After dinner we went up to the barbecue to make s'mores (not Rod).  There is a burn ban here so no fires allowed.  But it worked pretty well on the barbecue.  There was another couple up there who were on someone else's boat.  They were from La Conner and live on the channel heading towards Anacortes.

Aug. 25th - Genoa Bay Marina

Got up at 6:45 & it was 65'.  Shadow has been mostly hanging out in his condo.  He's not happy with everything of his now in our stateroom & he is not sure about the kids😼.  He wouldn't come out yesterday once everyone arrived & didn't eat much either.

We got to Genoa Bay Marina at 12:25.  It got up to 88' today.   We spent most of the ride over & once we got here on the flybridge.  We played Mexican train & then I played Old Maid (which I mostly loose) & Go Fish with the kids.

Tonight we went to the restaurant here which gets a very high rating (#1 from Trip Advisor for this area out of 150 restaurants around here).  We'd also heard it was really good from some other boaters.

There also are some interesting statues & a great gallery here.  Tomorrow we'll have breakfast here by the dock & then we'll go to the SYC Henry Island Outstation which will take about 4 hours from here.  When I went to bed at 9:30pm it was still 74'.

Aug. 24th - Ganges Marina

I got up at 7:30 & it was 67'.

Today is a big day for cleaning the boat & getting ready for Heather & the girls to arrive.  They get here about 3pm.  Shadow has been using the girls' room so all of his things need to move into ours - litter box, litter, food, water, etc.  We also need to figure out where everything else that's on their beds & the forward stateroom bed  (Heather's space).  We've been using all of that space to store things.  Between the Captain & I, we found places for everything.

Everything is now moved - the cat things to our stateroom, the beds are ready to go for Heather, Sienna & Talia.  I vacuumed, dusted & cleaned the heads.  I used a little bit of space in Heather's room which I think will be fine. They arrive at 3pm & it was 79' at 1pm.

It got up to 87' today - very hot.  Heather & I were up in the flybridge after she arrived for awhile until it got too hot.  Then we went down to the air conditioned salon & we had martinis  & Rod had his Hendricks gin.

We went to Auntie Pesto's for dinner which is a great Italian restaurant & had been highly recommended & had a great meal.  Everyone had something different.  I came back with the girls & Heather & Rod came later.  I visited with the Bennetts & Scarboros with the girls as they were eating on the Bennett's boat.  Then when Rod & Heather got back we went up on the flybridge for awhile.

Aug. 23rd - Ganges Marina

I got up at 6:45 & it was 56'.  Went at 11:30 for my mani/pedi & bought a box of wine for when Heather gets here - somehow I've gone through 3 boxes, now how did that happen???

After I got back a boat came in across the dock from us & it was Judy & John Bennett.  They came here with the Scarboros so we're all going out for dinner tonight at 6:30.  Talk about a small world!

We went to the Tuesday Farmers Market & bought some strawberries & blueberries.  Then we got a few more things at the store that we needed to get.

Bennetts & Scarboros came over at 5:30 to have cocktails on our flybridge.  Then we went to dinner at the Oyster Catcher.  We tried to go to Auntie Pesto for Italian food but couldn't get in.

Aug. 22nd - Ganges Marina

I got up at 6:30 today & it was only 57'.  We left Ovens at 9am & it got up to 13 knots of wind.  We arrived at 11:45 & it was quite windy & only 58.5'.  It only got up to 66' today.

We went shopping today in Ganges to get some food for us & the kids.  Tomorrow is the Tuesday Farmers market which is open from 2-6pm so we'll go to that.  I'm also getting a mani/pedi tomorrow at 11:30 - much needed after 9 weeks on the boat!

We ate on the boat tonight.

Aug. 20th & Aug. 21st - SYC Ovens Island

This morning I got up at 6:30 & it was 65' already.  When Rod came to bed around midnight it was still 70' outside & 78' inside.  At 9:30 this morning it was already 80'.  It got up to almost 90' again.

8/21 - got up at 7:30 & it was 65'.  It's supposed to be cooler today so hopefully that will be true.  It only got up to 70' today.  The wind picked up today too.  There were only 5 boats here tonight.

Aug. 19th - SYC Ovens Island

We left at 6:40am & it was 57'.  Winds got up to 19 knots when we were crossing the Georgia Straits & we had a following sea again.  So Shadow went down to his kennel - definitely his safety place on the boat - & I put my wristbands on & didn't eat until we got through at 10:30.  The temperature warmed up to 75' once we were across & then got up to 90' after we arrived at Ovens Island.

One of the people who helped us dock was Alan Kane who was a well-known attorney when I was still working.  We both recognized each other's names.  There were only 3 boats there when we arrived & now there are 7.

Tonight we had steak, hash browns & 2 kinds of leftover salad.

Aug. 18th - SYC Garden Bay

Got up at 6:45am & it was 60'.  Today we went back to Madiera Park to get a battery for our scale (we weigh ourselves everyday & the battery died this morning), had lunch & bought a few more things at the IGA.

It got up to 89' today.  I did one more sheet laundry here so we are good until we get home (we have 2 sets).

There were 16 boats here tonight - 1 rafted.  Dinner tonight was salad & corned beef.  We plan to leave by 7am in the morning to head to SYC Ovens Island by Ladysmith.  We'll cross the Georgia Straits first & the wind looks good.

Aug. 17th - SYC Garden Bay

I got up at 7am & it was 58'.  I forgot to mention that there were 15 boats here yesterday - lot more than before.  Of those, 5 were sailboats.

This morning around 8:30, Rod was working on the raw water pump in the engine room - it was leaking.  He ended up having to call a mechanic to come over because he didn't have the right tools to remove the parts he needed to put on the extra pump that he had.  Then there was a strap that needed to be adjusted so the poor Captain was down there until 1pm.

I couldn't find Shadow anywhere.  He always watches Rod down there & I try to distract him, which sometimes works sometimes doesn't. Well, I kept looking for him & couldn't find him so I told Rod I thought he was in the engine room.  The Captain says no way, but I still couldn't find him & sure enough he was down there🙀🙀🙀.  Rod handed him up & the door was then shut😾😾😾.  When the engine room is cool, you can do that.  Very bad cat!!!  Rod always thought that if he got down there it would be impossible to find him as there are so many nooks & crannies.  Fortunately he could see him.

When Rod went back down after the mechanic came, I decided to put Shadow down in the forward cabin area - his room for food, water & cat litter- & I shut the door which doesn't go all the way to the top.  I saw him sitting on the steps trying to figure out how to get out & eventually he did.  I'm not sure how but he jumped out & was on the counter.  The door to the engine room went back down!  That cat is too smart for his own good😼😼😼.

Later this afternoon a SYC boat came in - Four Captains, a 84' Horizon PHMY - & we thought we saw James & Sherry Raisbeck on the boat.   Sure enough it was them, so I went over to say hello to both of them.  James was on the ballet board when I was on it.  We've also been to a number of parties at their beautiful house in Seward Park.

Tonight we ended up barbecuing hamburgers with cheese & had the rest of the kale salad.  We were going to go out for dinner but Rod was pretty sore & tired from all the work he did in the engine room today.  It got up to 80' again today.  We ended up with 12 boats here tonight.

Aug. 16th - Garden Bay Outstation

I didn't get up until 7:30 & it was 61'.

After lunch we went to the IGA in Madiera Park to buy a few things that we couldn't find yesterday.  It was 73' when we got back at 1:30pm.  We turned the air conditioning on as the cabin was already 78'.

It got up to 79' outside today.  We had martinis again tonight & then had a kale salad for dinner.  Trying to compensate for yesterday 😻.

Aug. 15th - SYC Garden Bay Outstation

I got up at 6:15am this morning & it was 60'.  Rod checked the weather this morning & it's very windy in the Georgia Straits so we won't leave here until at least Friday.  This morning I did a towel laundry in the laundry room & did a wash on the boat of my clothes.

Today we took the dinghy over to The Royal Vancouver Yacht Club dinghy dock - we have reciprocal rights to do that here & they can bring dinghies over to our outstation.  We walked up to Lavern's Grill for lunch - I had a cheeseburger with a chocolate shake (the old fashioned kind) & Rod had a bacon cheeseburger with fries & a strawberry shake.  We think that might be our dinner too!  Then we walked over to John Henry's grocery store which is not far & bought a few things.

It got up to 82' today & we've been using our air conditioning in the boat in the late afternoon since we got here.  I checked the flybridge & decided it was cooler in the salon.  We had our martinis tonight...yum!!!  Shadow has decided he likes tooth picks & kept trying to steal them before Rod put the olives on.  Then he started sniffing our martinis & trying to get the toothpicks out of the glass - of course he was repeatedly discouraged🙀🙀🙀.

Rod's son, Rex, emailed his dad & then called so they had a good chat & catch up.  Then we got a call from our new next door neighbors in Shelter Bay, Roger & Jan Meuter, that they were in Pender Harbour so they came over to our boat for cocktails.  We showed them around the yacht club as we're working on them to join SYC too.

Our dinner tonight was popcorn for each of us.

Aug. 14th - SYC Garden Bay Outstation

I got up about 7am & it was 64'.  We left Prideaux Haven at 8:11 & it was already 70'.  It was funny -  both Jon (1st) & then Vanessa came over to help.  Vanessa let Jon do it & then I gave her some corned beef from the freezer as they really like it too. We always used to give them some whenever we made it.

The anchor was really full of mud (which the captain washes as he pulls it up - for those non boaters out there).  Probably because we were in Prideaux Haven for 12 days!

We arrived at Garden Bay at 2pm.  Jan & Carol were here when we arrived on the Marion II.  I did 3 washes here today - 2 sets of sheets, cat towels (some from drying him off when Shadow fell in) & hand towels.  Then about 5:30 I took a shower.  It got up to 89' here today so I was very drippy!

Aug. 13th - Prideaux Haven

I got up a little after 7am & it was 65'.  Went paddling with Vanessa at 10am & it was getting warmer, although when I got back to the boat it was only 69'.

Before lunch we put the kayaks back up on the boat after Rod washed them a little.  We'll do a better job when we get home.  We're leaving tomorrow morning to head to SYC Garden Bay for a couple of days.

We went over to the raft to say goodbye yesterday afternoon & ended up staying for Desolation Sound oysters & some wine & scotch.  Then we left & went to say goodbye to Vanessa & Greg.  When we got back to the boat we put our dinghy up as Vanessa is going to paddle over & untie our stern line.

We're leaving tomorrow morning at 8am to head to Pender Harbour. It's about a 5 hour trip down.

Aug. 12th - Prideaux Haven

I This morning Rod's alarm went off at 3am so we could get up To watch the Perseid meteor shower.  There were so many stars out last night which we hadn't been seeing with the rain.  We did see a satellite going by & a few meteors which Rod could see better than me.  I was back in bed by 3:30 & Rod stayed out a little longer.

After dinner Shadow was still outside & when I went out he would start racing around the boat.  Rod thought it was because Shadow thought I was chasing him which I do sometimes in the boat & definitely at home.  Eventually Rod went & got him, with the running still going on.

This morning I didn't get up until after 7:30 & it was 66'.   Keep forgetting to mention that we have lots of anchovies jumping out of the water around PH.  It's really interesting to watch them.  There are also schools of what look like herring.

Vanessa & I went paddling again today at 10am.  Neither Rod or Greg went although Greg was out for awhile in his row boat.  We visited with Jan & Diane on the Marion II.  They decided that they will leave today to avoid some wind on their way to Pender Harbour.

Tonight Greg & Vanessa came for dinner on our boat.  We made smoked pulled pork with barbecue sauce with tortillas & they brought salad & cauliflower.  First we did drinks on the flybridge & then had dinner up there as well.

Aug. 11th - Prideaux Haven

Got up a little after 7am & it was 59'.  It's going to be a beautiful day - already bright blue sky with just a few patchy clouds.  I forgot to mention that we also had stir fried rice with peas & egg in it - very good as well.

Vanessa & I went out at 10am to paddle & were gone a little over an hour.  Right before I left Shadow was outside & was wandering around.  He went out again in the afternoon & wandered around & spent time on the flybridge.  Whenever he heard a splash it seemed to scare him.  There was a dog on the island behind us & the boy with hi was trying to get him to go in the water which eventually he did.  But at first the boy was throwing rocks into the water & then a branch that he was trying to get the dog to chase.  Later Vanessa came in to tell us about a friend & she splashed her paddle which scared Shadow too.  I think that's probably a good thing.

This afternoon we went over to the boat that Jan Harper & skipper, Diane Lander, are on & got a tour.  It's an old wooden boat that was built in 1928 at Lake Union Shipyard & is called a Lake a Union Dreamboat.   It's 42' & is beautiful inside - it's named Marian II & that's the original name.

We've decided to stay here until at least Sunday as the weather is supposed to be in the 80's for at least a week.

It got up to 80' today.  We had our cocktails on the flybridge as it was still very warm.  Tonight we barbecued hamburgers with cheese & ate the leftover Cole slaw & bean salad.

Aug. 10th - Prideaux Haven

Got up at 7am & it was 64'.  It was raining again this morning.  The Captain thought it was supposed to be getting nicer starting today based on his iPhone weather...obviously not right.

Greg came by to get some help with his phone/internet connection.  Then we went over to visit Jan Harper & the woman she is helping run her boat in the dinghy.  Then stopped by to visit Vanessa & set a paddle time for 2pm.  As we were going by Jon's boat he wanted help from Rod too - such a popular man for technical assistance!

Vanessa & I headed outside of Prideaux Haven & eventually went through Laura Cove.  Just at that point we ran into Greg who was on our other kayak.  We got back about 3-3:30 but Greg didn't come back until 4:30.  He's really enjoying kayaking.  By 5pm, we had mostly blue sky & it was 72'.

Tonight we went over to the raft again for dinner.  We had a salmon dip (made with leftover salmon from the other night).  We had great chicken wings & thighs, a tossed salad & I brought cole slaw with apples in it.  We had a delicious cheese cake that Lois made with raspberry sauce.

My cousin Marty & Penny, his wife, are leaving tomorrow morning at 9am.

Monday, August 8, 2016

Aug. 9th - Prideaux Haven

I got up at 6:45 & it was 65.5'.

We had a great time with Vanessa & Greg last night.  We started with a few oysters that Greg & Rod had gotten, with a very tasty sauce on it.  Then we also had a great dessert that Vanessa made - a molten lava cake.

This morning we (Rod, Lynn, Vanessa) went paddling hug around 10am for a little more than an hour.  It was Rod's first time out for several years.  After we got back, Greg came over to see if he could try 1 of the kayaks so Rod had him use his.  So he & Vanessa went out again.

Don Stabbert came over to say hello to Rod - he built Rod's house in Bridle Trails.  His brother, Don Stabbert, built my house there.  After he left, Shadow went outside & walked around the boat & flybridge again.

This afternoon at 1pm I went with Vanessa to the Refuge Cove Store to buy a few things. I got eggs, coleslaw, romaine lettuce & tomatoes.

Tonight we went to the raft to have dinner with Kippers, Harvey & Maggie & my cousin, Marty & Penny. We had crab for appetizers, chicken, rib eye steaks, mashed potatoes & cauliflower with carrots.  Another great dinner.

My friend, Jan Harper & her friend, came over to say hello.  They ended up anchoring out

Aug. 8th - Prideaux Haven

Got up a little after 7am & it was 61'.  It was drizzling a little.  Vanessa's comment on my blog from yesterday was that "we would be paddling/kayaking today" no matter what, so I guess that's the deal!!!

I forgot to say that when the Finches came over we opened the doors & he did end up going outside - all around the boat & up on the flybridge.  Guess it depends on what his mood is!

Also I forgot to say yesterday that the passengers from the Malibu left yesterday (the owner & another couple) and 3 other couples came in (the next generation).  It was amazing how much baggage the 1st 2 couples had - lots of hanging bags & lots of other bags!  It took them 2 trips to get everything to the seaplane that came in the afternoon.  The owners are the owners of Windermere Real Estate Company.  2 of the couples that came in are the CEO & his wife (a Jacobi) & a son of the owner.  I just realized this morning that Finches had a Windermere agency in Walla Walla (Rod knew that) & they were the ones identifying the new couples.

The Malibu left before 10:00 this morning.  Also one of the boats in our friends' raft also left about the same time.

Vanessa & I did go out for over an hour this morning.  When I got back to our boat, it turned out that my cousin Marty is coming in today - I thought it was tomorrow & we were invited to dinner for salmon & prawns.  I paddled over to tell Maggie that that wouldn't work for us tonight, but we will go tomorrow night for dinner.

Tonight we went over to the Finches boat for dinner - lasagna, bread that they also bought from Costco but haven't tried yet (Essential Baking) & we're taking a 4 bean marinated salad & a bottle of good wine that we brought from home - Portteus Old Vine Cabernet Sauvignon.

I got up about 7am & it was 61'.  It looked like it rained again last night.  But I see some blue sky so hopefully it will be a nice day.  This morning we had corned beef hash from our Corned Beef market & eggs.

Vanessa & Greg Finch (our former neighbors) just got here about 2:30 & got one of their favorite spots pretty close to us.  They are coming over tonight for "happy hour".  They left about 6:30 & we had leftover ribs & quinoa for dinner.  It rained on & off most of the day until this evening.

If it gets nicer tomorrow, Vanessa will paddle board & I will kayak with her.

August 5, 2016 Prideaux Haven Dingy Raft

10 Dingys in a raft on a booze cruise

Aug. 6th - Prideaux Haven

It poured last night but when I got up this morning the rain had stopped, but then it started in again.  It was 60' when I got up at 7am.  It rained most of the day on & off.

It finally got sunny around 4:30,  Temperature got up to 70'.  We opened the doors to see if Shadow would go out but he really didn't.  He was either just inside the doors or outside by the door as well.  I think he was watching seagulls landing in the water by the raft.  I guess he still remembers his swim.

Jon just came over to visit  & we're on our own again tonight so people can watch the Olympics.

Tonight we had barbecued ribs & quinoa for dinner.

Aug. 5th - Prideaux Haven

I got up at 7am & it was 62'.

The Malibu came back around 11am, as Jeff Morris & his friend had left.  It took them at least 3 times to get the boat anchored & the 2 stern lines on.  Before the Malibu got here, I talked to the owner again & he assured me that they wouldn't be too close to us, which I knew.  He said his daughter was interested in getting a Grand Banks & wanted to know how big ours was.  While all of this was going on, Rod was over visiting Jon & was on the bow of their boat watching.

This afternoon we went for a dinghy ride & when we got back it started to drizzle.  Fortunately it didn't last long & the sun came out again so I went kayaking.  Tonight everyone is on their own boat & watching the opening ceremonies for the Olympics.

Aug. 4th - Prideaux Haven

I was up a little after 7am & it was 62' - it's going to be a beautiful day!

We've decided to stay here until at least Wed. next week.  My Canadian cousin who I met up here several years ago is coming on Monday & a friend who I've known since we were on the ballet board together will be here on Tues.  She is helping a woman from SYC run her boat this summer.  Her husband passed away & she still wanted to go boating.

This morning I went kayaking with Carol Silhan.  My first time out as the weather has not cooperated.  I also heard from the Finches that they are heading our way from Garden Bay so hopefully we'll get to see them too.

We were over visiting Maggie in the raft & we saw Malibu (yacht club member, 100' boat) coming in by us - between us & 2 other boats rafted near us (Jerry Morris's son is on 1 of them).  As we were watching, I told Rod we needed to go back to our boat because they were really close to us & I thought they were going to crunch my kayak which was on the starboard side of our boat.  As we watched them trying to do 2 stern ties, we could see them putting big bumpers out between our boats as they were so close.  I'm yelling at them & my captain tells me to stop, then he eventually was yelling at them to cut their stern ties.  It was very hairy watching🙀🙀🙀.  The owner (he was in their dinghy with the girls doing the stern lines) said if there was any damage to our boat he would pay for it.  Jeff Morris & his friend came over in their dinghy & looked to see if there was any damage & fortunately there wasn't.

The boys went fishing today & caught quite a few so we're going over at 7pm for a fish fry!  We're bringing salad.  We also had potatoes, bread & ice cream with apple pie which was left from last night.

August. 3rd - Prideaux Haven

I got up about 7am & it was 61' & high overcast.  It thundered again last night.

Around 9am, Rod opened the door to look outside & Shadow walked out.  He didn't go very far & came right back in.  Perhaps he remembered his water experience😼😼😼.

We went over to talk with our friends by us & then went over to visit with Carol & Mike Silhan.  They're rafted with Val & Murray Laidley in Melanie Cove, but we didn't see the Laidleys.  When we got back to the boat about 1:30, we left both doors open but Shadow did not venture out - he was just by the doors.  Eventually he did go out, was on the flybridge & walked all around the boat so he's definitely decided to go for it.

At 5pm, we went over for crab & prawns & we took garlic bread to have with the raft - we always take our drinks with us.  When we came back around 7pm, we barbecued a steak.

Aug. 2nd - Prideaux Haven

I got up a little before 7am & it was 60'.  I thought I heard thunder.  Shadow slept with us last night (as he usually does) but I didn't even know he was there - I must have been really tired.  He has been spending a little more time in his kennel, especially since his water episode & that's where he was when I went to bed.

We went for a dinghy ride this morning & it started to drizzle.  A lot of boats left today so there is a lot more room here.

This afternoon we went to visit Jon & Lois & while we were there it really started raining, but didn't last too long.  We wanted to find out what the plan was for tonight - everyone is on their own, so no group get together.  I think everyone had a lot of food last night.
